Mikumi is Tanzania’s fourth-largest national park. It’s also the most accessible from Dar es Salaam. With almost guaranteed wildlife sightings, it makes an ideal safari destination for those without much time.
One gets to relish the palm trees as they sway in a cooling oceanic breeze. White sand and blue water sparkle alluringly beneath the tropical sun, brand Saadani is a splendid place to visit.
Selous Game Reserve is Africa's largest game reserve and one of favourite game viewing areas in Africa. Covering 50,000 square kilometres, is amongst the largest protected areas in Africa and is relatively undisturbed by human impact.
Udzungwa is the largest and with most biodiversity and a chain of a dozen large forest-swathed mountains that rise majestically from the flat coastal scrub of eastern Tanzania.
Day 1 Moshi – Lake Manyara National Park
In the morning you will be picked up from your hotel and after a short briefing you set off to the Lake Manyara National Park. The small park stretches along the 600 m high Rift Valley Escarpment and is dominated by the alkaline Lake Manyara. Many water birds gather at the lake and more than 400 bird species are found in the park. The diverse vegetation provides a habitat for many animals such as monkeys in the forest, giraffes and antelopes on the grasslands and elephants around the acacia trees. If you are very lucky you might also see the Manyara lions, lounging in the trees. In the late afternoon you will leave the Lake Manyara National Park and head to Olea Africana Lodge or Campsite for dinner and overnight.
Day 2 Lake Manyara Area – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast you will drive towards the fertile crater highlands where the farmers grow wheat, corn and coffee. You will pass the Ngorongoro Crater before you reach the plains of the Serengeti National Park around midday. The Serengeti is the largest park in Tanzania and has a diversity of habitats and landscapes including short grass plains, savannah, thick bush, swamps, mountains and lakes. Bizarre rock formations called Kopjes dot the grassy landscape where predators are often seen. Depending on the season you will witness the migration of thousands of animals for which this park is famous for. During the short rainy season in November and December the herds move from the hills in the north to the plains in the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June they return up north. This circle of life is completely dependent on the yearly rainfalls and the locations of the herds may vary from year to year but your guide will know where to find the animals and where to see them best. You will spend the night at The Serengeti Wild Camp for dinner and overnight
Day 3 Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation Area
Dawn is a good time to watch wildlife and so you will be up early to join an early morning game or sunrise wildlife game drive. You will return to the camp for breakfast before heading out for another game drive in the park. At the Seronera valley you will often see wildebeests and zebras in close proximity of lions and other predators such as leopards and cheetahs. After a picnic lunch you will continue your journey towards the Ngorongoro Crater. Once you have reached the crater rim you will enjoy fantastic views of this 600 m deep collapsed volcano. You will stay at the Ngorongoro Rhino lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 Ngorongoro Crater – Moshi
After an early breakfast you will drive down the steep and narrow road that takes you into the crater. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to savannah. Here the wildlife is just breath taking and with a little luck you can observe the “Big Five” – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – in just a few hours. You should also see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After a morning dedicated to game viewing and a picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the early afternoon to drive back to Moshi, where you will arrive in the early evening.

Day 1: Moshi/ Serengeti National Park
Early morning 0545am you will be picked from your accommodation and drive to Serengeti National park with the package breakfast and lunch, you will have breakfast enroute arriving at Serengeti Nabi gate for the lunch around 01:30pm, after lunch drive enroute to the public camping site. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti public Camping site.
Day 2: Serengeti national park
This day you will spent in Serengeti, Starting with the Early Morning breakfast with the packed lunch spend the rest of day game viewing in Serengeti National Park, until sunset game drive, drive back to your camp for dinner and overnight at Serengeti public Camping site.
Day 3: Serengeti/ Ngorongoro
Early breakfast, then drive to Ngorongoro crater, descend into the Ngorongoro crater floor the 8th wonder of the word the home of Lion, Elephant, Rhino hyenas for game drive with picnic lunch, then continue with the game viewing in the crater the home to all big five and hence the same may be seen, Hippo, Cheetah, antelopes, then drive back to Moshi for dinner and overnight at the Lodge.

Day 1 Depart from Moshi – Lake Manyara – Maasai village
After breakfast we will drive towards Lake Mnayara National Park, you will go for a hike down the Great Rift Valley, through a dense ground water forest. View birds, monkeys, bushbuck and other forest animals. Immerse yourself in the sounds of the forest while the fresh streams and waterfalls surrounding you. After lunch you will visit a maasai village, you will learn about the culture and traditions of the maasai. Maasai people live a nomadic life, which means they move from place to place with their animals. In Maasai culture the women and girls are responsible for building the family hut, taking care of the children, fetching firewood and water, washing clothes, milking cows and preparing the family meals. You will see the traditional dance, making their fire, and learn about many other things during your visit. if you will be interested you can buy one of their art work for your own remembrance.
Dinner & Overnight at Public Campsite
Day 2 Lake Manyara area – Serengeti National Park
Early in the morning after breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park through Ngorongoro conservation Area, with optional visit to Olduvai Gorge, the archeological site of the Leakey family. Game en-route as you proceed to your lodge for dinner and overnight at Public Campsite
Day 3 Serengeti National Park
In the morning, enjoy a sunrise game viewing in Serengeti National Park, a full day with morning and afternoon game drives to explore the amazing plains at the most famous national park, over a million wildebeest and about 200,000 zebras flow south from the northern hills to the southern plains. Dinner and overnight at Public Campsite
Day 4 Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Conservation area
Adventure continues with another wildilfe game drive in order to discover more wonders of Serengeti. The presence of spectacular nature and wildlife is manifested at each glance. If a tear wets your eye, you were probably awed and realized the urgency of protecting this precious eco-system. After lunch at a picnic place you will slowly drive in the direction of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. As soon as the crater's edge is reached you will have a superb view into the caldera, Dinner and overnight at Public Campsite.
Day 5 Ngorongoro crater
After breakfast it is time for the World Heritage Site - Ngorongoro Crater. You will descend into the caldera floor that represents 260 km2 of paradise on earth. A full day in the Ngorongoro Crater, There is a very high possibility of spotting the big 5 in one day: lion, rhino, elephant, buffalo and leopard. Lunch will take place at the picnic site in the crater floor; continue with a game until early evening where you will depart to Mto wa Mbu town, Dinner & Overnight at the Camp.
Day 6, Tarangire National Park – Moshi
After breakfast we head to Tarangire National Park for a full day game drive. Enjoy picnic lunch with landscape and wildlife scenes on your way, The Park runs along the line of the Tarangire River and is mainly made up of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor.
Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with huge swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals, during Tanzania's dry season. The Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare species of animals - the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings. After extensive game drive, late afternoon drive back to Moshi.
